This is the main part of a quilt top im making for someone special. You will know who they are when they get it in the mail. I still need to add a border then finish it up with batting, binding and backing. I really like this pattern and the colors. I cant remember what Jordans design was called, im going to have to find that, But this one is called Yellow Brick Road. Again, like Jordans these pictures do not do the colors and designs justice. After I get them finished im going to take pictures of them on the couch or on the wall or something, maybe get a better view and good light for better colors.

This is Jordan's quilt top. I just need to get the batting and backing. I have a cool piece for the binding. Im going to try TRY to get this done by the time we go visit him but no promises. Im a moody project finisher. Haha! As I look at this picture I see a mistake but oh well. Haha. Thats the beauty of my quilts, it's like Where's Waldo with mistakes. Haha! It's also so much prettier in real. This picture makes it look small but its not, im sure its at least twin if not a bit bigger, I think I made it a smidge bigger cause Jordan wanted to make sure it would cover him up and his feet wouldnt poke out. :)
Ignore the mess in the corner there, I dumped out a tub to use for something else. Hahahahaha!! Now to reorganize and find another tub to put it all in. Hahaha! My craft room is a mess.

I got this for Valentine's Day!

Bubba got me this for Valentine's Day. It's a baby cupcake maker. Yeah!! Oh and Yummm! Haha! So today I decided to try it out.

This is the little cups you fill. It also came with a recipe book and you can make little pies in this and brownies along with appitizers and all sorts of other little treats.

My first batch of cupcakes. Things ive learned so far, if you use white cake mix you have to use a spray, otherwise they stick to the non-stick surface. Haha!

They do cook fast, like in 5 min. And they are little. Cute and perfect size. Only I wish they had papers to go with them but it says in the brownie recipe to use cupcake papers so we will have to test that out some other time.

Im going to take this with me to Texas. Sophia will love it. Well ok who am I kidding...she is going to love how fast she can eat the frosting off the cupcakes. Haha!

So a new toy for me. I love it. I dont like cake that much but most people do so its ok. I knew you could make more that cupcakes in it and personal size brownies is more my style. Im excited to try out one of the appetizers and even more mini pies. MMMM...a baby apple pie all for Tess!! Haha.

OOh when Janie comes to visit we can use it with her kids too.

Yes, Grandma Tess and Auntie Tess is the BEST!! Hahaha!!

Oh wait..Chaz...he is gonna love this thing.

Hahahahaha!!

My other little girl. Phoebe. I won my first blue ribbon in photography with a pic of Phoebe. Not this pic though. She has the most beautiful fur/hair color. I love it. If only I could capture it for my own hair color. Haha! Sometimes it just shines.

Chupacabra!

Ok well this is my Chupacabra card. My favorite so far. I put the pics on backwards and dont feel like changing them around. Haha. So you get the back of the card first. I wanted it to look kinda like a comic book cover and the back like a back page of the comic, with ads and all.

I carved the word Chupacabra and the chupacabra. You can click on them to see them bigger. But my carvings arent that great but im happy with them for being a beginner.

This is my Ugly Doodler card. Its my vision but not good execution. I dont like it. But its what I did and I sent it off anyway. I used calendar pages for the envelope.
On the back I put tiny pictures of my actual desk calendar pages with my horrible doodling on it.

Dem Scary Bones

This is the second LTC I created. I carved the skull and bone. Obviously it was around Halloween time. This one got even better reviews than the first card. Some I dont think liked how 'dark' it was but I LOVED it. I even put red gems on the eyes. When I posted it I did say it was a scary card, I called it Dem Scary Bones so the people who didnt like scary didnt have to trade. I also traded this one single. All the Halloween cards that I got were cutesy. Thats ok too but I was in a scary mood for Halloween. I used scrapbook paper for the envelope I put it in to protect it for mailing. (It was actually supposed to look like blacktop I think, that paper was from Nascar theme. Haha! I thought it had great dark night appeal.)

This was my favorite card until I did my Chupacabra card, that one is now my FAVORITE. That card rocks but it is my 4th card so I wont be posting about that one until Friday. :)

Letterbox Trading Cards

I named this one S is for Sunflower.
My first Letterbox Trading Card. Its similier to Artist Trading Cards only with LTC's you must have at least one hand carved stamp image on it. I carved the sunflower. I had seen a few others from links to their blogs and I emailed a few people to ask for any advice and then just jumped in an made this one and listed it to trade as a single. I traded I think 25 of them in two days. It was a hit. So I got a bunch of cards back then to get a feel of what people do. Pretty much whatever you want. They were all so different. But I have to say mine are more elaborate. Such as my stamps might not be real detailed but my cards are. Some peoples carves are outstanding. But the cards are simple to show off the carve. So I just make whatever I want. The envelope I put it in to protect it for mailing was made from scrapbooking paper.
I joined my first swap in Dec. and am still waiting to get the cards. The host had a death in the family and delayed sending the cards back. The swap is like this, the host picks a theme, lists it, you can join, then make as many cards as participants, then mail the cards to the host, she sorts them, and then sends you back one of each card from all participants. The theme of my first swap is Doodlin' Around, we were supposed to make a card from a doodle we had done. I am a horrible doodler when im on the phone and its not pretty. So I named mine The Ugly Doodler. Haha. I will post about that one later with a picture.
Letterboxing is a big part of my free time so I expect there to be alot of it on this blog. :) Especially the next few days...im going to post about my cards ive made this Winter. With pics of course!

Yes, YES! I've done it again, I have a NEW blog!

My first pic on the first day of my new goal of a pic a day for a year.
The elusive Golden Windmill. Its from MyFarm and Chaz is trying so hard to make enough money farming to buy this windmill. Go give him a high five for effort on his facebook page, that kid is determined! I keep planting everyday so he can harvest my crops to earn myfarm money to buy it. Sadly he has to see this bad boy going round and round every time he visits my farm. Haha!!
So this blog is for my New Years Resolution. And that was to get more of my arts and crafts into the hands and homes of those I love.

And maybe some fun stuff besides. Like contests, give aways, etc... This stuff might be something I made, had around the house, new stuff, Advice and Wisdom. Haha! Well you never know.

Im trying to establish a following. An active following.

Everything from this blog will originate from my facebook wall because right now facebook is the 'cool kid on the block' and we all use it obsessively and who are we kidding, its where we all go first or second after logging in. Ha!

One of the things I am also going to do on this blog or at least try very hard to do is have a picture a day for a year. I got the idea from Gena's blog/facebook and thought it was way cool. And way commited and therein lies my biggest problem...follow through. I mean I will eventualy get it done but not always in a timely manner so this will be a HUGE thing for me if I do it.

And I dont live a very exciting life so what my pictures may be should very interesting and more than likey kinda boring. Haha!

Some of you already have received some sweet things in the mail from me, some are in the mail as we speak, and a few are still sitting here waiting to be mailed. I am still collecting address' so you never know what or when something may show up in your mailbox.

Most of my things are cool paper crafts I have discovered online. And I have discovered I like doing paper crafts way more than scrapbooking. But scrapbooking will always be my first love and probly a never ending pile on my craft tables. I will never quit. And the fact that I LOVE totally LOVE scrapbooking paper will make sure there is always an album in the works...so I have legit excuse to spend another $30 in the scrapbooking store and $100 from Creative Memories. Haha!!

So here we go again....
